Maggie Roque is the Director of Diversity, Inclusion, Equity & Belonging at Zapier, and has honed her expertise in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) for over a decade. Maggie breaks down barriers in her workplaces and communities to drive equity, access, and connection. Having worked in academia and technology, she’s learned first hand how to transform theory into practice -- and she uses this knowledge to drive companies to develop diverse and inclusive cultures.
Outside of her work, Maggie is devoted to her partner, family, and friends. She’ll hike mountains if you ask her nicely, but prefers apres ski over the sport itself. Cooking food is a love language and she always has a knitting project nearby. Home is a feeling and a practice - much like community - and while Maggie is a native Chicagoan, she’s proud to have called Utah home since May 2013.
Maggie and her partner Colin - and their dogs, fish, plants, and mishmash of crafts and hobbies - are based in a tiny 3x4 block of unincorporated Davis county, nestled between North Salt Lake and Bountiful.
